5Great Book  Sep 06, 2010
I have never been moved to write a review before, but this book deserves the plug. It was so useful on our trip to China. I read it before the trip and during the trip. It prepared me to pack a cake of soap (not always available), and explained about Chinese elevator etiquette (every man for himself). The book shows the authors' love of the Chinese culture and people, and is a good navigational tool. Easy to read and full of useful information. This book was well worth its price.

This was easy reading and very enjoyable. I've been to China several times already but was able to learn more from this book. I recommend this for all travelers to China.

5Invaluable  Aug 14, 2010
This book is the best for newbie travelers to China. It's a tiny "take along" and is a fun and really informative read. We loved it and expect the up-to-date information from these widely traveled and China experienced authors to make our trip next month, the best it can be. We are ready!

4good book from experienced travelers to China  Jul 03, 2010
Very informative. Good anecdotes. Some of the other reviewers of this book have no sense of humor or they think that they are the definitive source on everything in China, then why did you buy the book? It was helpful. I am going to Beijing in a few months. Only complaint, the book had some useful Chinese phrases and the back, however the tone markers on the pinyin had many errors.
