Fantastic for upto 4 days Feb 19, 2008

This 21" carry on is fantastic!
I just spent 14 days in Hong Kong with this bag and a backpack. The corners are all reinforced so it should hold up over time. The other reviewer seems to confirm the durability with 2 years of use. While gone I moved hotels 3 times and checked this luggage for the longer flights. My sport coat and dress shirt remained unwrinkled (vacation trip, not business). I put my dirty underwear, socks and undershirts in the outside pocket for the return trip. Sadly, it wasn't searched. My traveling buddy brought a HUGE bag, so placing gifts and souvenirs in his bag on the way home worked out for me, but that won't always be the case.
If you're traveling for 1-4 days and don't expect to bring big gifts back, this size is a good choice. If going international, you might want a little larger version.
The luggage has straps to hold clothes in place and the removable shirt area on the top should allow 3 folded dress shirts to remain unwrinkled. The extensible handle is nice, but the inside of the bag is impacted by it - heck it has to slide away somewhere.
Check that the extra bag strap on works. In the store where I bought this, they only had 1 working strap for 3 of the bags. I wanted to latch my backpack to this roller when transporting them together.
The Delsey "Helium Breeze" line seems to be where the jump in quality happens for Delsey without the pricing of the "Pro" line.
Highly recommended.

Best luggage for the money Dec 13, 2007
By Robert Bush My carry-on has seen a LOT of use in the last 2 years, and has handled it like a champ.
Do the research - for the size, weight, quality of materials, and features, there is no better piece of luggage in this price range.

delsey - o.k. Feb 09, 2009

i purchased the delsey helium breeze because my husband has been pleased with his delsey carry-on. first time i used it, the zipper pull came off in my hand. during the trip and multiple openings for tsa, customs, etc., i found the zippers all uncooperative and sticky. suitcase is fine and i'll probably get a lot of use out of it, but there seem to be a lot of finishing touches left unfinished.

worry-free luggage at a very good price Feb 20, 2009
By Matthew G. Sherwin Delsey makes a wonderful carry-on piece of luggage with their "Helium Breeze Carry-On Expandable Suiter Trolley." The bag is easy to pull around once you extend the handle; you can just pull this behind you as you walk through airports and the weight isn't bad at all, somehow the wheels must be taking some of the weight of the full bag away from your body so you don't have to pull this hard. This feature has been around for quite a while but I won't buy a carry-on piece of luggage that still doesn't offer this feature.
In addition, the pockets and compartments are well lined and it easy to attach a tag with your name and address on it should the bag actually get lost or you have to decide which bag is yours if another traveler has a suitcase very similar to this one. (This often happens.)
The bag does have a suiter and the bulletproof (???) "ballistic nylon construction" is quite sturdy and it just plain feels well made. And yes, Delsey's claim that it can expand a bit (but not too much, roughly 2 inches) is true.
There is the issue of whether or not you can carry your laptop in this carry on piece of luggage. I would not do that. If the bag ever tips over (and most brands of these carry-on bags, no matter how well they're made, could tip over as you walk or run around an airport) AND the computer is in the pocket that hits the ground, you could be out a computer--at least temporarily. I recommend carrying your laptop in its separate carrying case with padding around it. As of the last time I traveled just a few months ago, the airlines were still allowing people with laptops to have a second carry-on but only for carrying a laptop. Call your carrier to be sure!
There's another potential problem with this bag. I cannot be sure yet so I won't comment nor will I take off a star for this; but PLEASE check with your airline if they will accept this size for carry-on bags. The latest word on the grapevine is that 21 inch bags are no longer necessarily acceptable as carry-on bags; some airlines may have very recently changed their rules to accept only 20 inch bags. Of course, this is still an excellent piece of luggage for weekend trips with the car and all; but if you're concerned about the latest airline rules check with your airline before even buying this piece of luggage.
Overall, this is one very well made piece of carry-on luggage by Delsey. I like it and I have used it with great satisfaction on short weekend getaway trips; although for longer trips you'll need more luggage than just this bag.

Works as advertised Nov 02, 2008

I went carry on for a week in Mexico and have used the case on numerous business trips. I can get four days of business clothes and a week of vacation clothes in the case and it fits in the overhead every time. The only thing to be aware of is with the expander open some smaller overheads may be difficult to get the case in to. The handles on three sides, top, side, and bottom make lifting the case easier than other cases. The separate divider in the top cover allows pants or dress shirts to stay neat.
All in all I am satisfied with the case and now my wife wants one.
