Havasupai is a paradise enveloped in one of the earth's most rugged and parched landscapes. The Havasupai Tribe has never advertised its canyon and has never endorsed a guidebook to prepare visitors for a journey into the Heart of the Grand Canyon — until now. Exploring Havasupai is the essential destination guide for those visiting the area. The guidebook is filled with insider tips, fascinating background, and essential information. It identifies many new hikes, mines, springs and historical sites never before revealed in a Grand Canyon or Havasupai guidebook. Details on canyon geology, weather patterns, and the unique flora and fauna add depth to a hiker's experience. Exploring Havasupai includes detailed maps, trail descriptions, stunning full-color photographs, and intriguing historical insights. This is the must-have guide for canyon visitors, whether arriving by helicopter, on horseback, or on foot. | | | |

Excellent resource for Havasupai Apr 25, 2010
By AZDaver01 Purchased this for a planned hike to Havasupai in the fall. This book is a great reference that includes great photo's, history lessons, photo tips, maps, and details on hiking the trail. Makes a great reference book but is nice enough to keep out for friends to thumb through. I recommend this book for anyone planning to make the trek to Havasupai or are just interest in a uniquely remote and beautiful place that is relatively off the beaten path.

A 'must' for any bound to the Grand Canyon intent on exploring its wonders Sep 20, 2010
By Midwest Book Review EXPLORING HAVASUPAI: A GUIDE TO THE HEART OF THE GRAND CANYON offers a destination traveler's guide to one of the world's natural wonders. While plenty of guides cover the Grand Canyon area, few narrow the focus to Havasupai's spectacular wonders, offering detailed instructions to reaching each of its popular waterfalls, hidden grottoes, and more. Over 100 color photos capture the region's beauty. A 'must' for any bound to the Grand Canyon intent on exploring its wonders.

Havasupai is the most unique and spectacular location in the lower 48 states. This book provides the much needed, one stop reference guide for anyone planning on experiencing this extraordinary destination. Much thanks to Mr. Witt for writing this excellent, complete and up-to-date work.

By kristinw This book is really helpful. It has a lot of great tips and pictures. Can't wait for my trip! I am glad I purchased it. It has everything from the history to the present date falls and facility info. The website for havasupai doesn't have very much info so this book is a must.
