4Florida Atlas & Gazateer  Jan 15, 2003 By Arizona Dad "Jeff"
This is the second Delorme Atlas I have purchased and it contains a wealth of information regarding lakes and rivers for fishing. Secondary roads are clearly marked, as are boat ramps and launching areas. Many lakes are identified as to species of fish that are there. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to locate fishing areas throughout the entire state. While many of the smaller roads are not identified, it shows enough information to be able to get where you want to go. My only advice would be to label more of the smaller roads leading to the lakes.

5Florida Atlas and Gazetteer  Feb 27, 2006 By Pat Madsen "road less traveled"
Easy to read and use, invaluable when traveling in city or hiking in rural areas. Very detailed, provides names of area sites that are interesting to stop by, which are not included on road maps.

3Not what I was looking for....  May 04, 2010 By M. Copeland
Don't expect a road map or a detailed topographic map either. Granted, Florida doesn't have much topography, but what little it does isn't even covered by this map. It's one good point is the comprehensive list of things to do in the state, but as a map, it misses the mark.

3Florida Atlas and Gazetteer (Florida Atlas & Gazetteer)  Jul 13, 2006 By R. T. Veldhoen
A bit difficult to handle (size). Good enough to use in your car.

4DeLorme Atlas & Gazetteer - Florida  Jan 13, 2009 By Austin Alwood
If you want to get off the Interstate highways, have ever wondered, "Where does that road go?", or been stuck in traffic wishing you knew an alternate route, then DeLorme Atlases are for you. They show all the back roads that a typical state map doesn't. And they provide information on campgrounds, recreation (everything from baseball and beaches to theme parks, wildlife and zoos/aquariums), and trails. Don't throw your regular state map away though because the DeLorme maps don't show which roads are 2 lane or 4 lanes or more. And the maps are not detailed enough to navigate through cities but they do show the main roads.

Unfortunately, although recently reissued, the Florida atlas is in their old format. The pages don't overlap so you have to check carefully to determine where you are when going from page to page. However, this should not keep you from buying this atlas - it is great. There are over 100 pages of maps and 24 pages of information. I used the Florida, Georgia and South Carolina atlases extensively to take a leisurely exploratory trip from the Tampa Bay area back to my home state of NC. I never take a trip without them.
