3book, or pamphlet?  Jul 19, 2007 By E. Swope
I bought this book for my (10 year old) son for an upcoming trip through Arizona, as he is a rock collector, and will undoubtedly add to his collection on our trip. I am certain he will enjoy this book. The pictures are large and clear, the explanations straight-forward.

But I am having a difficult time stomaching the price. It is a skimpy little book; honestly, more of a pamphlet.

It's one of those purchases where I've asked myself: If you saw this in a book store at this price, would you buy it?

My answer is no.

FWIW the consensus around our dinner table was that it should cost around $3.

Wasn't very helpful for finding areas to dig . OK for identifying gems and minerals.

Very good book, very handy to take into the hills of Arizona and find cool rocks. I highly recommend.

5Good Deal  Jan 31, 2010 By Terry King
What can you say about a booklet on gems and minerals of Arizona. It's a booklet on gems and minerals of Arizona. Unless you are a geologist specializing in gems and minerals of Arizona, it's a great booklet to have. And it came a week early.
