These locks are great. They are very secure for the size. THEY DO CHANGE COMBINATION PROPERLY and easily. It makes me mad when someone bad mouths a good product due to insufficient understanding. I bought (3) of these already and they set no problem; the other reviewer was not following the correct procedure. To be fair, the manufacturer instructions leave out the detail that you have to press down very firmly after the first rotation.

To set a new combo:
Turn it to 0 0 0,
Turn shackle 90 degrees CCW,
Push shackle down FIRMLY and hold down (it feels like there are 2 positions, you must press firmly to the 2nd "deeper" position)
Rotate 90 degrees CCW WHILE HOLDING DOWN ALL THE WAY (you will have the shackle 180 degrees CCW from where you started),
Change lock combo,
Rotate shackle CW 90 degrees,
Lift shackle,
Rotate shackle CW 90 degrees and use.

Bought these locks based on reviews, however they are too big to fit through the hasps on our cases. They feel heavy and are easy to set, but check the size before you order

Don't buy if you want a TSA approved lock. Lock works great for other uses. No problem changing combinations. A little large for luggage.

Pros: you can program in your own unlock code. You will never lose a key because it doesn't have one.

Cons: none that I can think of.

Very good, but the instructions were definitely not clear enough. It didn't tell me to press down firmly until it got lower than it usually would be, so I had to read another one of the reviews for assistance. Otherwise, good product.
