Visiting Montreal is like visiting Europe without the jetlag. This is a city where you’ll find a mix of the old world with the new, a center of sports, culture and entertainment.

Our STREETWISE® Montreal Map offers the ultimate guide to navigating one of North America’s most beautiful cities, covering everything from the Parc Maisonneuve to Le Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, the only Formula One Grand Prix race track located in the heart of a metropolis. 5perfect map  Oct 06, 2008 By K. White "erzbet"
All of these streetwise maps are great. They focus on the downtowns of major cities- just where you probably are when you are walking around and need a quick reference. The size is perfect, and the plastic coating makes them extremely durable. I was in Montreal for over a month and had three local people ask me where I got the map - twice when I pulled it out on the Metro to review where I was going once I got off, once just on the street. As one person told me: "It doesn't look like a tourist map, I'd like one. Where did you get it?" The same thing happened twice in Paris last year with that map. Highly recommend!

5Perfect for the tourist!  Sep 14, 2008 By J. J. John
This laminated map is a favorite. I purchased one for London and loved it, so I bought this one for our upcoming trip to Montreal. Unlike paper maps it can take the folding and refolding and still hold up great. While its size is larger, (pamphlet, about the size of a paper map)it still will fit in a purse or backback without a problem. The other bonus is the metro stations that are clearly marked on the map.

5great map!!!  Jul 02, 2011 By Jessica
This is a great map. I am currently using it on vacation. It has enough detail to easily get around and also has a large area of the city on the map. The map is easy to use as well. I wouldn't change it at all.

3Not great, but I've found nothing better  May 28, 2011 By Capt'n Bob "captn_bob"
I've purchased several Streetwise maps for other major cities and was pleased enough that I purchased the Montreal edition. Unfortunately I discovered during the week we were in Montreal that the map was pretty worthless when it came to actually getting around, unlike their NYC or London maps. When I looked for a better map, it turns out there isn't one, at least that I was able to locate. There's something about the size of Montreal and the way it's laid out that makes it very difficult to produce a map that covers the area and is detailed enough for day-to-day navigation. Why this is so is a mystery to me. For example NYC is complex and bigger, but I'm able to use Streetwise for navigation in NYC. So my advice, fine get the Streetwise, since I haven't found an alternative. But as soon as you get there pick up the local tourist map which is free and actually usable. Montreal City also has an excellent on-line series of maps in .pdf format that you can download to your smartphone or tablet. And finally The Google Map App is far and away the best way of navigating Montreal...but if you do this (and are not on a Canadian carrier) make sure to purchase a data package before you leave, or the megabytes will cost more than your airfare. For what it's worth, I used the Google app for 7 days, being cuareful to turn on 'data roaming' only when using the app and consumed about 30 MB of data. Your mileage will vary...

5Great, clear, handy Montreal map  Jan 08, 2010 By Random Admirer
I got the map for my recent trip to Montreal on the Thanksgiving weekend of November 2009 . I can't say my wife and I used it a whole lot but whenever we needed some directions it came very handy. It's a nice "fits in your jeans pocket" size, easy to read, easy to fold and carry around. Lamination is a good thing too - it will probably last forever no matter how often you fold it or spill coffee over it. Definitely recommended - a very solid map for all your Montreal travel.
