The Best of the PNW for Tree-Huggers Oct 01, 2010
By Cathy E. Crandall While I agree with the other reviewer that BC coverage is limited, you won't be disappointed with the coverage of Oregon and Washington! In addition to where to go and what to see, this book will help you understand what you are seeing. I highly recommend this book to any nature lover, especially those of us in the Northwest who like to get out during all seasons.

Very informative! Oct 21, 2010
By Dena Sage I live in the Portland, OR area and found this book very informative. It covers a wide variety of plant, birds, and animals as well as sprinkling of information about geology, weather, history, public policy, etc. Reading it feels like you are on a guided nature hike with a chatty guide who effortlessly shares his knowledge. Definitely a great read and resource for those who live in the Pacific NW who want to know more about the nature that surrounds them and who want to get out and about any month of the year. As I read it I was continually amazed at what an easy read it is and how much information is packed in those pages! Excellent resource.
I really like this book! Jan 29, 2011
By Mike James Luther Davis, I got this book for my 44th. I love it. I've been trying to scrape together notes on events that take place in Washington and Oregon. This is much better. This is a guide to the wonderful treats God has given us, if we care to appreciate them. Thank you!
Misleading Title... Aug 10, 2010
By Jason Berry If you are planning on visiting any other part of British Columbia (except the extreme Southwest part of British Columbia)this book is NOT for you! It seems like a great book, and covers Oregon, Washington State, but only the extreme Southwest portion of Brtish Columbia. There is nothing about the Canadian Rockies, the middle & upper BC coast, the BC interior or northern BC.
Too bad, since I just wasted $ and time on a book I won't be able to use on our trip...
